Initially established in 1983 as a sub-contractor installing telephone systems for local telephone companies in the Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio areas. Now entering our 20th year in the industry, we have become a well sought after cabling installation company in the State of Ohio and Eastern Indiana.

Jacobs Telephone Contractors has evolved from the early years as a sub-contractor to offering a full range of cable plant management services such as; Consulting, Design, Engineering, Installation, Maintenance, and Cable Plant Documentation. Because the design and installation of telecommunications cabling systems is our core business, our knowledge and expertise are without limit when delivering a complete system installation whether it comprises of 20 cables or 20,000 cables.

JTC also offers outside plant construction and infrastructure services. All of these cable plant services are fully documented by our own in-house CAD department, which uses the latest industry AutoCAD software and cable plant management software.

JTC is a current 2003 BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) corporate member, as well as staffing RCDD’s (Registered Communications Distribution Designer), and BICSI certified installer/technicians. The company has experienced modest growth over the past years and has opened two additional offices.

The Columbus, Ohio office opened in 1999 followed by our Indianapolis, Indiana opening in the spring of 2002. We presently have 40 installers and technicians along with sales and operational management. Our installers and technicians are continually trained in an effort to keep abreast of the latest installation techniques and concepts.

JTC installs only the highest quality cable and connectivity products. We have a diverse background in the installation of enterprise cabling networks, including telephone (voice) systems, data, coaxial (CATV, CCTV), and fiber optic cabling.
